Road of Heaven
“Free will has carried many a soul to hell, but never to heaven.”
Followers of Via Caeli, also called Tariq el-Sama in the Islamic world, attempt to control their Beast through religious devotion, reining in their base desires and turning their attention to the betterment of the world about them. This Road has been expanded to cover a much wider scope of faith than the original.
Core Tenet: Only through living my Faith do I continue to exist and hold the Beast at bay.
Possible Additional Tenets:
I am a servant of the Lord God and I shall keep his Commandments.
I am the Shepherd, I must prevent the corruption of my flock and it is my task to make the sinful repent. For an unrepentant sinner is a damned soul.
We are damned by the actions of our progenitors. I will seek the forgiveness that Caine refused.
I am a servant of the Gods. I will honour them, spread their teachings and remind people of those Gods they have had taken from them.
You hold a shard of the divine, hold onto and nurture it until the coming of the third Messiah, the third and final Caine.
The Divine is larger and more perfect than the Mundane. Believing that our understanding and knowledge is correct leads to suffering, and so I will seek the middle way.
The gods are different, not more perfect. I will teach others to be strong and deal fairly so they may meet the gods as partners.
There is a god in everything and each deserves our worship. I must ensure others do not take without first giving.
