Combat - Cover and Concealment
If at least 50% of the target is visually obscured from the attacker’s position, they may gain the benefit of cover against the attack. This provides a +2 bonus to the Defender’s test.
If 100% of the target is visually obscured from the attacker’s position, they may gain the benefit of concealment against the attack. In this case the Defender gains a +5 bonus to their test.
The ST Team will make the appropriate call as to whether the target has the benefit of cover or concealment.
Cover and concealment are primarily gained against ranged attacks, but can also be gained against melee attackers should the circumstance allow it. Eg. being attacked through a portcullis (cover) or through a wooden wall (concealment).
