Central Europe is broadly under the rule of the Holy Roman Empire. Despite the unified name, war and dissent still affect every country, with mortals plotting and scheming for power, and conquering their neighbours through political machination or force of arms. 

Much as with the boundaries of the mortal world, vampiric domains are being forged anew in the crucible of change.

Many powerful Clans and individuals seek to build their status and influence in these uncertain times, to gain more and larger Domains and to control wider swathes of the human populace - while just as many of the less powerful seek to upset those plans and plots, to regain what has been lost or establish themselves anew.
